Bonjour! Hello! My name is Emily and I am a traveler who wants to share her stories and advice with the world.

In 2016 I was selected to participate in TAPIF (Teaching Assistant Program in France) to help French students become better at English. As a result, I decided to begin this blog.

Though I am still young, I have already spent a fair amount of time traveling. When I was nine, my father was offered a teaching exchange in France, and I spent my first semester living in another country. My family returned again when I was fourteen, this time to wander around the country, living in a different town every week.

In college, I also took a semester to go back to France again, this time to study the language at a University in Dijon through the CIEF. You can read about my adventures on my other blog.

So my experience of traveling has been mostly Euro-Centric (and very concentrated on France), but it nonetheless has given me a great passion for seeing the world and I would love to use this blog to share advice and stories with my readers.

A little about me. I’m a graduated English major, French minor, who spent a year working in a day care, subbing in the school district, tutoring, and grading while trying to figure out what to do with my life. I then taught in France for a year before returning to the US where I eventually ended up working as an elementary school librarian. I play piano and love to write in my free time. So there’s a little about me!
